AI steps in: can software make heart scans easier for doctors to perform?
NCT ID NCT07155434
Summary
This study tested whether healthcare providers without special ultrasound training could use AI guidance software to perform basic heart scans on patients with a specific heart muscle condition (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy). Each participant received two scans on the same day: one by a non-expert using the AI software and one by a trained ultrasound technician. The goal was to see if the AI-guided scans were good enough to potentially expand access to this important monitoring test.
