AI vs. standard care: new heart study aims to better control irregular heartbeat
NCT ID NCT06935591
Summary
This study is comparing two approaches for treating persistent atrial fibrillation (AF), a common irregular heartbeat. Researchers want to see if using an AI mapping system (vMap) along with standard ablation treatment works better than standard ablation alone. About 423 adults with AF will be randomly assigned to receive either the AI-guided approach or the standard treatment, and their outcomes will be tracked for 12 months.
