AI spots hidden heart risks in your routine CT scan
NCT ID NCT07181512
Summary
This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) can find early signs of coronary artery disease (a leading cause of heart attacks) on standard, non-contrast chest CT scans. Researchers are using data from over 1,600 patients who had both a routine chest CT and a specialized heart scan to train and validate the AI model. The goal is to see if this common, low-cost scan can be used as an extra tool to screen for heart disease risk without needing additional tests or radiation.
