AI vs. doctors: race to spot hidden heart attacks
NCT ID NCT06910436
Summary
This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can spot a specific type of serious heart attack that doctors often miss on standard tests. It will involve 1,500 patients who come to the hospital with chest pain but don't show the classic signs of a major heart attack on their initial ECG. Researchers will see if the AI can correctly identify these hidden blockages and if getting treatment faster based on the AI's reading leads to less permanent heart damage.
