AI and MRI join forces to spare cervical cancer patients from bladder and bowel damage

NCT ID NCT06142760

First seen Mar 31, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to deliver radiation for cervical cancer. Instead of using one fixed plan for weeks, an AI adjusts the radiation daily based on the tumor's position, and weekly MRI scans provide extra guidance. The goal is to reduce side effects like bladder and bowel problems. About 40 adults with locally advanced cervical cancer will take part.
