AI helps doctors zap cancer, spare healthy tissue
NCT ID NCT03953976
Summary
This study tested a new way to deliver radiation therapy for head and neck cancer. Doctors used artificial intelligence (AI) tools to focus radiation only on cancerous lymph nodes, instead of treating large areas of the neck. The goal was to see if this more precise method could control the cancer just as well while causing fewer side effects and improving patients' quality of life.
