AI takes aim at cancer treatment side effects
NCT ID NCT06142760
Summary
This study is testing whether using artificial intelligence (AI) to adjust daily radiation treatments, combined with weekly MRI scans, can reduce bowel and bladder side effects for people with cervical cancer. The research involves 40 participants receiving standard chemoradiation treatment, but with AI technology that adapts the radiation plan each day based on the tumor's current position. The goal is to better protect healthy organs while treating the cancer, potentially making treatment more tolerable.
