AI brain map aims to end guesswork for Veterans' chronic pain
NCT ID NCT07325513
Summary
This study aims to use a machine learning (AI) model to improve a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment for veterans with Gulf War Illness. The AI will analyze brain scans to try to predict which veterans will respond best to the treatment, which targets areas involved in pain processing. All 140 participants will receive the active brain stimulation treatment over several months to see if the AI-guided approach is more effective at reducing headaches and body pain than the standard trial-and-error method.
