AI eye test could catch glaucoma early in diabetics
NCT ID NCT07243665
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can help spot glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness, in people with diabetes. About 1,040 adults with diabetes will have their eye photos checked by either the AI or a human grader to see which method finds glaucoma more accurately. The goal is to make glaucoma screening faster and more reliable during routine diabetic eye exams.
