First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) program can help detect glaucoma, a leading cause of blindness, in people with diabetes. About 1,040 adults with diabetes will have their eye photos checked either by the AI or by the usual method (a human grader). The goal is to see if the AI is more accurate and faster at finding glaucoma than current practice.
