AI glasses aim to be a Seeing-Eye for the visually impaired
NCT ID NCT07317180
Summary
This study is testing whether smart glasses powered by artificial intelligence can help people with significant, permanent vision loss move around more safely and independently. Fifty participants with conditions like glaucoma or retinal dystrophy will be split into two groups: one will try the Meta AI glasses, which describe surroundings and identify objects, while the other receives standard care. The main goal is to see if using these glasses improves people's quality of life and makes daily navigation easier.
