AI could prevent dangerous injection errors during cancer scans
NCT ID NCT07174089
Summary
This study is testing new AI technology to detect when injected radioactive medicines accidentally leak outside veins during PET/CT scans or cancer treatments. Researchers will monitor 1500 patients to develop real-time alerts for these injection problems and create corrections to ensure scan results remain accurate. The goal is to improve patient safety and make diagnostic imaging more reliable.
