Smartphone AI tested to spot deadly skin cancer
NCT ID NCT06221397
Summary
This study tested whether a computer program using artificial intelligence (AI) could help doctors find melanoma skin cancer earlier. Researchers took photos of suspicious skin spots from 105 adults using a special smartphone camera. They then compared the AI's analysis to the final diagnosis from a biopsy or expert dermatologists to see if the tool was accurate.
