First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study collects images and videos of large colon polyps taken during standard colonoscopy. The goal is to use these images to train an artificial intelligence (AI) system to predict whether a polyp has cancer invading deeper layers. About 5,000 adults undergoing colonoscopy will contribute images. No new treatments or medications are involved; this is purely for developing a diagnostic tool.
