AI assistant tested to spot breast cancer in ultrasound scans

NCT ID NCT07287111

Summary

This study tested whether an AI software tool called CadAI-B Dx helps doctors interpret breast ultrasound scans more accurately. Sixteen doctors reviewed 797 patient scans, first without the AI and then with its assistance, to see if it improved their ability to correctly identify cancer. The goal was to see if this computer aid could make breast cancer diagnosis from ultrasounds more reliable and consistent.
