First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study tested a new way to rebuild lost jawbone using donated tooth grafts and AI-powered 3D planning. 22 people with not enough bone for dental implants received either a block or shell-shaped graft made from donated teeth, along with an implant placed at the same time. The goal was to see which method better restored bone width and height for long-lasting implants.
