First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a new AI system called AI-ENDO that helps doctors perform a type of keyhole surgery (ESD) to remove early-stage growths in the food pipe, stomach, or bowel. The AI works in the background at first, then later gives real-time guidance on a second screen. The goal is to see if the AI makes the surgery safer and more complete. About 60 adults with these growths will take part.
