AI vs. doctors: the race to spot hidden heart trouble

NCT ID NCT07217236

Summary

This study is testing whether a computer program (AI) that reads heart tracings (ECGs) can find patients who need a pacemaker or defibrillator faster and more accurately than standard doctor care. Over 11,000 people will have their ECGs analyzed by the AI. If the AI flags someone as high risk, they will either get extra heart monitoring or continue with their usual care to see which approach works better.
