AI could replace special heart test for Life-Saving device
NCT ID NCT07157449
Summary
This study aims to see if a standard heart test (a 12-lead ECG) can be used to determine if a patient is eligible for a subcutaneous defibrillator, a device that treats dangerous heart rhythms. Researchers will use artificial intelligence to analyze the standard ECG scans from 1000 patients, hoping it can replace a more complex, specialized screening test. The goal is to make the screening process simpler and more accessible for patients who might benefit from this type of defibrillator.
