Your phone could spot a deadly clot: AI ECG test in development
NCT ID NCT07412418
Summary
This study aims to develop a faster, simpler way to screen for pulmonary embolism, a serious condition where a blood clot blocks an artery in the lungs. Researchers will test if a 1-minute heart rhythm recording from a smartphone device, analyzed by artificial intelligence, can accurately identify patients with these clots. They will enroll 500 patients who are already being checked for this condition to see how well the AI's predictions match the results of standard, more complex tests.
