AI heart patch aims to stop strokes before they start
NCT ID NCT06842147
Summary
This study is testing whether a wearable, AI-powered heart monitor patch worn for a week can find hidden cases of atrial fibrillation (AF) better than standard tests in older adults living in rural China. Finding AF early is crucial because it's a major cause of stroke. The research will also see if better detection leads to fewer strokes, hospitalizations, and deaths over three years.
