AI-ECG could catch silent lung heart danger early

NCT ID NCT07079592

First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can analyze a simple electrocardiogram (ECG) to find people at risk for pulmonary hypertension, a serious condition where blood pressure in the lungs is too high. About 8,666 adults aged 50 to 85 who have had an ECG in the past 3 months will take part. If the AI detects a possible problem, patients will get an echocardiogram to confirm, potentially catching the disease earlier and improving heart health.
