Smartwatch ECGs + AI: a new way to catch heart disease before It's too late?
NCT ID NCT07057466
First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) can analyze routine electrocardiograms (ECGs) — including those from smartwatches — to detect hidden heart problems like weak heart muscle, valve issues, and high lung pressure. Researchers will enroll 590 adults without a prior heart diagnosis and compare the AI's findings with standard blood tests. The goal is to see if this low-cost, non-invasive approach can help catch heart disease early.
