AI-Powered home test aims to keep kidney patients out of danger

NCT ID NCT06901960

Summary

This study is testing whether a portable, AI-powered heart monitor can help people with moderate to advanced chronic kidney disease better control high potassium levels, a common and dangerous complication. Over 1,000 participants will use the device at home to check their potassium levels and receive alerts and diet advice if readings are high. The goal is to see if this frequent, at-home monitoring leads to fewer episodes of severely high potassium over six months compared to standard care.
