Cancer drug side effect? study probes link to wobbly legs and falls

NCT ID NCT06184074

Summary

This study looked at whether a common breast cancer drug (aromatase inhibitors) causes changes in leg tendons and affects balance, potentially increasing the risk of falls. Researchers compared 76 postmenopausal women with early-stage breast cancer, some taking the drug and some not, using ultrasound scans and balance tests. The goal was to gather information to better understand and potentially address this side effect in the future.
