AI takes on aging muscles: new study aims to predict sarcopenia before it strikes

NCT ID NCT07426159

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence can better predict who is at risk for sarcopenia—the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength. Researchers will first analyze data from 3,500 adults to build a risk model, then test a personalized 12-week exercise and nutrition program in 120 people aged 50-70. The goal is to catch muscle decline early and tailor interventions to each person.
