AI device spots heart danger in 5 minutes, could ease ER overcrowding
NCT ID NCT07074808
Summary
This study tested a portable AI device called aiTriage that aims to help emergency doctors quickly decide which chest pain patients need urgent care. Over 1,100 adults with chest pain were randomly assigned to either have their risk assessed with the new device or with standard hospital methods. The goal was to see if using the AI device could safely reduce unnecessary hospital admissions and shorten wait times in the emergency department.
