AI vs. human eye: the race to spot hidden colon polyps
NCT ID NCT07308743
Summary
This study is testing whether a computer-aided detection (AI) system can help doctors find more growths (polyps and adenomas) in the upper part of the colon during a colonoscopy. About 686 adults aged 40-75 getting a routine colonoscopy will have two back-to-back exams: one with the AI tool and one without, to see which method misses fewer growths. The goal is to improve the accuracy of colon cancer screening by reducing missed findings.
