Can a simple delay make AI a better partner for doctors?

NCT ID NCT07158203

Summary

This study is testing if a small timing change can help doctors work better with artificial intelligence (AI) during colonoscopies. Researchers want to see if briefly delaying the AI's suggestions makes doctors think more critically, leading to more accurate identification of potentially cancerous polyps. The study involves 70 experienced endoscopists who will review videos of small polyps, with half seeing AI suggestions in real-time and half seeing them after a short delay.
