First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can help doctors find tuberculosis (TB) faster in rural Chinese clinics. About 22,000 people with TB symptoms will get a chest X-ray, and half of the clinics will use AI to read the images. The goal is to see if AI reduces the time to diagnosis and improves the number of people who complete their care.
