AI vs. eye: smartphone app aims to spot cervical cancer
NCT ID NCT06815939
Summary
This study is testing a new, low-cost screening tool called Automated Visual Evaluation (AVE) that uses artificial intelligence to analyze pictures of the cervix for signs of cancer or pre-cancer. It aims to see if this AI tool works as well as or better than current screening methods, especially in areas with limited medical resources. The trial will involve 10,000 women in El Salvador to validate the tool's accuracy.
