AI reads mammograms to flag hidden cancer risk

NCT ID NCT07121972

Summary

This study is testing an artificial intelligence (AI) tool called Mirai that analyzes standard mammogram images to predict a woman's risk of developing breast cancer. Researchers want to see if women the AI flags as 'high-risk' benefit from getting an extra screening test—a breast MRI—to find cancers earlier. The study will enroll 400 women to see how accurate the AI's risk predictions are and how well the follow-up MRI works.
