First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study is testing an artificial intelligence (AI) system that reads kidney biopsy images to help diagnose chronic kidney disease. About 2,900 people with suspected chronic kidney disease will have their biopsy images reviewed by both the AI and expert pathologists. The goal is to see how well the AI's diagnosis matches the pathologists' gold standard, focusing on accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity.
