Your phone as a heart coach: AI app aims to prevent future cardiac crises
NCT ID NCT06686056
Summary
This study tested whether a smartphone app using artificial intelligence could help people with coronary heart disease better manage their condition after leaving the hospital. Over 1,100 participants were randomly assigned to either use the AI app for tracking health, getting reminders, and receiving education, or to receive standard care. The main goal was to see if the app helped users lower their 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C) and improve other health measures like blood pressure and medication adherence within three months.
