Scientists probe why we get more inflamed as we age
NCT ID NCT05392582
Summary
This study aims to understand how the immune system and inflammation change as people get older. Researchers will compare 40 healthy younger adults (18-35) and older adults (65+) by taking blood samples and measuring physical strength. The goal is to gather information that could help design future treatments to reduce age-related inflammation, but this study itself does not test any treatments.
