Heart procedure may improve quality of life in patients over 80
NCT ID NCT07442526
First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at two treatments for older adults (80+) with a completely blocked heart artery: a procedure to open the blockage (PCI) or medication alone. Results suggest that a successful PCI can improve symptoms and quality of life more than medication, though it carries higher initial risks. The best choice depends on each patient's overall health.
