Can a fun afterschool program fight childhood inactivity?

NCT ID NCT05342701

Summary

This study is testing a special afterschool program called CHAMP-ASP to see if it helps young children become more physically active and improve their health. About 264 children, ages 5 to 8, will participate in the program for 35 minutes a day, 3-4 days a week, for 19 weeks. Researchers will measure the children's activity levels, motor skills, fitness, and weight to see if the program has immediate and lasting benefits.
