Summary

This study tested whether aflibercept eye injections can improve areas of poor blood flow in the retina of people with diabetic retinopathy. The trial included 38 adults with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy and moderate retinal nonperfusion. Researchers measured changes in the size of nonperfused areas and tracked progression to more advanced stages of the disease.
