First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at two ways to treat atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat) in people who also have heart failure with preserved heart function. Participants will be randomly assigned to either a procedure called catheter ablation to restore normal rhythm, or medications to control heart rate. The goal is to see which approach better helps people live longer, stay out of the hospital, and feel better.
