Scientists test new tool to 'Listen' to the heart during AFib treatment

NCT ID NCT06877156

Summary

This small, completed pilot study aimed to gather data and test a new computer tool. The tool was designed to measure electrical signals from the heart in real-time during a pulsed field ablation procedure for atrial fibrillation (AFib). It involved 9 participants with AFib who were having this specific type of ablation for the first time. The main goal was to see if the automated tool's measurements matched up with manual measurements taken by doctors.
