NCT ID NCT07244029
First seen Nov 25, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study compares an herbal extract called Aescin (Reparil) to ibuprofen for managing pain, swelling, and jaw stiffness after wisdom tooth removal. About 100 adults aged 18-40 will take either Aescin or ibuprofen for five days after surgery. Researchers will measure pain, facial swelling, and how wide the mouth can open before surgery, on day 2, and on day 7. The goal is to see if Aescin works as well as ibuprofen with fewer side effects.
