Heart rhythm study tracks AF progression years after ablation
NCT ID NCT06526546
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study followed 364 people with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (a type of irregular heartbeat that comes and goes) who had already received ablation treatment in an earlier trial. Researchers compared two ablation methods—pulsed field ablation and thermal ablation—to see how well they controlled the heart rhythm over several years. The goal was to understand if one approach better prevents the condition from getting worse.
