Summary
This study tests a new training program called PACT for nurses caring for patients with advanced gastrointestinal cancer. The program aims to help nurses better involve and support family caregivers. Researchers will observe how often nurses use these skills and whether it improves outcomes for caregivers. About 84 nurses and family caregivers are taking part at Memorial Sloan Kettering.
