New combo therapy shows promise in taming tough pancreatic cancer

Summary
This study tested a sequence of drugs to control advanced pancreatic cancer that has spread. 75 patients received an initial combination of chemotherapy plus drugs that modify gene activity and boost the immune system. Those whose disease was controlled then received additional immune-targeting therapy. The goal was to find a safe and effective way to manage this aggressive cancer.
