Targeted radiation blast tested for tough pancreatic tumors
NCT ID NCT05191940
Summary
This study is testing a shorter, more intense course of targeted radiation therapy for people with locally advanced pancreatic cancer that cannot be surgically removed. It will enroll about 30 patients to see if this approach can better control the tumor in the area where it started. The radiation uses advanced proton or carbon ion beams to precisely target the cancer while trying to spare healthy tissue.
