New MRI scans could unlock secrets of brain injury in preterm infants

Summary

This study will use advanced MRI techniques to better understand brain damage caused by bleeding in premature babies. About 30 infants with post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus will be scanned at two UK hospitals. The goal is to see how a new washout procedure affects the brain and improve predictions of future disabilities.
