Scientists use High-Tech scans to peer inside Stroke-Damaged brain cells

NCT ID NCT02833961

Summary

This study used advanced MRI scans to look closely at how water and brain chemicals move inside cells after a stroke. Researchers scanned 24 stroke patients and 24 healthy volunteers to understand the cellular damage and recovery process over three months. The goal was to gather detailed information to help guide the development of better future treatments for stroke.
