Researchers investigate why adult intestines telescope inward
NCT ID NCT07238166
Summary
This study aims to understand what causes a rare condition in adults where one part of the intestine slides into another, causing a blockage. Researchers will look at 35 adults who need surgery for this condition to see if the cause is a benign (non-cancerous) growth or a malignant (cancerous) one. They will also check how accurately medical scans taken before surgery can predict which type of growth is present.
