Scientists map hidden hormone rhythms in adrenal tumors
NCT ID NCT07387419
Summary
This study aims to better understand how two types of benign adrenal tumors affect the body's daily hormone rhythms. Researchers will compare 40 patients with either a mildly hormone-producing tumor or a non-producing tumor. Using a special device that collects tiny fluid samples every 20 minutes for 24-48 hours, they will create detailed maps of cortisol and other steroid hormone patterns throughout the day and night.
