Scientists hunt for hidden genetic clues in adrenal gland mystery
NCT ID NCT02810496
Summary
This study aimed to understand how often specific genetic changes occur in people who have growths on both adrenal glands but no obvious symptoms of Cushing's syndrome. Researchers tested 150 adults with these incidental adrenal masses to look for mutations in a gene related to how the body responds to stress hormones. The goal was to see if these genetic changes are more common than thought and if they connect to any subtle health signs.
