Scientists use 'Super-Resolution' ultrasound to peer inside kidneys

NCT ID NCT05288998

Summary

This study is testing a new, non-invasive ultrasound technique called Super-resolution ultrasound (SRU) to see the tiny blood vessels inside the kidneys. Researchers want to compare these blood vessels in people with early-stage Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) to those in healthy volunteers. The goal is to see if this method can help detect and monitor changes in kidney blood flow earlier than current methods.
